Hopefully now with my “repaired” Claymore collection a certain blogger won’t throw shame at me.^^ I already finished all the volumes, and I can say they were like drugs. I would come home every day and read to or three of them. Volume 15 was the best of all with a huge plot twist revealed, but it sucks that I have to wait till JUNE(!!!!!!) just to get the next volume. I am so close to ordering volume 16 and 17 from Kinokuniya(>.<) After Claymore I started to read Detroit Metal City a little every day. It is the most vulgar series I have ever read……. but it does make me laugh.

First I watched Big Windup which is a great show to watch if you want a true shonen series. It’s best watched as a marathon since each episode almost always begins right where the last left off. I mean, come on, they spend 11 episodes on one game!
After that I started Black Lagoon which I actually am watching as I write this. The animation is great and the action scenes on the sea are just so amazing to watch as you can see all the little details that where taken into account. The only thing that bothers me is Rock’s dub actor.

I ordered the Gurren Lagann sets just out of hope they would get them since it seems that the third set had a really short production run. Claymore is currently on It’s way and should be here by Wednesday if I’m lucky. As for Lyrical Nanoha and Guin Saga, I’m going to Borders to pick them up right after this. They weren’t eligible for free shipping, so I used site to store. I’ve heard good things about both series, but they are completely different genres.

So that’s all for now.^^ Sorry for not posting in a while. Also, I was wondering if anybody would be interested in me doing anime and manga reviews. I was trying to stay closer to figure stuff, but seeing a few series I really liked changed my mind.^^

I was surprised to see that OF had Menace available again so I quickly ordered her, and for I while now I have really been wanting to get some wallscrolls so I added them to my cart as well. When they arrived I was so surprised how huge they were. I already have the One Piece one and the Gurren Lagann one up and later goes the Haruhi one. Also this last week I saw three movies. Paranormal Activity, ZombieLand, and The Vampire’s Assistant (You just shut your piehole >.<). The funnest one for me was Paranormal Activity. So anyone else see any of them?

The reason I was so surprised when I got her though was because duckie told me she was shipping her out on Thursday and one day later and she was already on my doorstep! I checked the package and it was one-day air! I have no idea how duckie can give free one-day air shipping to all her orders but she sure is a saint.^^ The figure itself is very beautiful and I’m happy I got her. She also my first ever Alter figure and after this I am definitely planning to get more:)

Also in other news, I used ebay for the first time ever. and it wasn’t even for a buy it know item, but for a bidding item! It was so intense! My heart was beating out of my chest. What I bid on can be seen below and I’m pretty with the price I got it for:

Yes, that’s right. I bought doubles just for the sake of getting Miku. But if I sell Rin and Len for the price I bought them on OtakuFuel even after shipping it would mean I got this Miku for about $45.

Just saw some great figure news and had to post^^; When I saw the news I was just so excited I had to post it I’ll definitely be picking the Strong Editions of Zoro and Nami(and the others, look below!) but I am kind of disappointed with Nell and Hiyori. Being AlphaxOmega figures I was expecting really great neutral paint jobs, but for both figures they seem pretty dull and plain to me. Also does anyone else also think they made hey Hiyori too…girlie looking? I’m not a big follower or even fan of Bleach, but I was really looking forward to Hiyori since I really liked her character.

Also they revealed the full line up of the “Strong Edition”s of the Straw Hats. MegaHouse is definitely where all my money goes.^^ Looks like the entire crew will be out by next August and the pacing of there releases will make it bearable on my wallet:) Seem there will be too versions of both Chopper and Zoro. I wonder why Zoro’s blades are white?

Lastly, the next set of chibi Straw Hats were revealed too. I will definitely be picking this up and hopefully we’ll see the last(?) set soon. I wonder how they will attempt to do Chopper since he is already pretty “chibi.” ^^;

Tomorrow is the last day of the first quarter of school so I’ll be more active for the next week^.^

I got the same mystery gift as last time too, the Yuki Nagato character cd. Now I have to track down the GSC Miku to complete the set, and I still don’t know if I should try to get the figmas and nendoroids of Rin and Len though. When OF had all of them instock I was seriously debating it, but now it will cost me a pretty big chuck to get them. Also sorry for not posting in a while. I’ve been really busy with school and other stuff. I’m trying hard to get a new post up by tomorrow though^^

Haha^^ When I saw this it made me feel good to know that even people like Jem have competition for repaints^^

I was really skeptical about the new P.O.P. deforms, but after I saw them in person I was satisfied. They have a great paint job and they stay faithful to the characters. Their biggest problem (like Nendoroids) is that they are off balance due to their huge heads. It isn’t really a problem with Luffy and Nami, but with Zoro he constantly leans and if he is moved to fast there is a chance that he might fall over. The good thing is that all of them have neck joints so it is easy to fix this problem if you move their head a little. I haven’t opened the others yet, but next is Haruhi and then Usopp. I probably won’t open Reika for a long time though.
Also did anyone else see the new P.O.P.’s that they had at Chara Hobby. They’re based of the new ONE PIECE FILM STRONG WORLD designs. I’ll be picking up Luffy for sure, but event though I’m a huge Chopper fan, this is the fourth P.O.P. of him so he’s lower on my get list. The thing that scares me with Luffy is that with the cape he looks like Shanks, and you can’t see his left arm. I hope this is just because of his position and not the that he actually loses his arm O.O  The Brilliant Stage Taiga was the same way, though obviously with her she wasn’t missing and arm.

Also did anybody watch the One Piece simulcast yet? It was pretty good. Sometimes it would freeze all of a sudden, but a simple refresh of the page and everything is fixed. As for the episode itself was awesome. There was some pretty great animation that I was like “Wow. I wish I watched One Piece more then I read it.” Also for those who have never watched One Piece, if you want to try it out they also have the first 6 episodes dub and sub.

Their is also a certain non-Japanese manga that seems to be just as popular as Japanese manga sometimes which is Manhwa. Manhwa is just basically Korean manga. I haven’t read any Manhwa myself, but I know that one will definitely grab my attention someday.

So on Monday a big long issue started. Our cable and internet provider suddenly dropped us for no apparent reason. When we finally got ahold of them they explained that they were switching companies and that we would have to upgrade to get our connection back. They never notified us of this before the drop.( If you read Dukie’s article here ,she had a similar experience) This became a huge long mess that lasted for five days until We finally got our internet back up Friday night. I would love to spend longer bashing the company, but I rather not be one of those flaming blogger’s who only writes hate articles.

In other news, yesterday I went and saw Ponyo. I am definitely a Ghibli fanboy, but that doesn’t change my opinion that sometimes Ghibli’s films can be really kiddy. Ponyo was really fun to watch though, and sometimes their was so much happening on the screen that my eyes would hurt trying to take it all in. I’m really happy that Disney finally did such a wide release for a Ghibli film. I remember when I had seen spirited away in a small theater with only four people including myself. Unlike then, there were way more the four people in the theater. I would say that it was over 50% filled. Oh yeah! I was unlucky enough to get the infamous crying baby to sit next to me and guess what he did! He gave me this long evil stare and then bam! He grabbed my straw! If their wasn’t just ice left I would have pulled out a can of baby butt kicking. Just kidding. I was just happy he didn’t barf on me.^^

Also school has been really taking up all my time lately and the only time I ever get to write anything for my blog is on the weekends. I think that I’m going to try and write multiple articles during the weekend and then just add them to my blog throughout the week. Every night I have on average 3- 4 homework assignments, but tomorrow I’ll be having two quizzes so the homework load will hopefully be lighter. I’m really thankful for this because tomorrow is the first anime club meeting of the year! Since the people who ran it last year graduated I had to start it this year and I hope we can get a lot more done. The first day will just be introductions and elections, but I’m hoping that next week we can start up our fund raiser so that everyone will be able to go to a con this year.

As for questions for you… I’ve been wondering lately if you want me to post my dvd and manga haul’s too.I did it once, but it didn’t really seem to interest anybody. Also what other things besides figures( if any^^) do you like to read about on blogs? And lastly, would you be intersted in a blogroll/ Banner exchange?

So I was just sitting at my desk and as I was looking around at my figures and a question that I quite often ask myself popped in my head again. “Are all of these figures really scaled?”

Have any of you every thought this? I do quite frequently, so I finally decided that I should just do a post on it and see what others think. Above is a picture of my 1/8 Ohno by GSC and 1/8 Ryoko by Max factory. As you can see they are both almost the same height. I actually measured them and they both come out to be about 19cm. For anyone who is familiar with these two characters they could definitely tell you that these two characters are not the same size. One is a grown women in college and the other is a teenager in high school. Even if you compare the sizes of the figures’ heads you can see the differnce in proportions.

Also on Ryoko’s base it includes the height of the figure, 200mm(20cm). The figure really does only stand 19cm(190mm), but I suppose if you go with the actual length of the figure’s angeled body and not how high it stands it would make sense.

There are figures such as the awesome P.O.P series that all stay consistant and true to the characters’ designs. I love my P.O.P.’s^^ And just as reference, below is a picture of the 1/6 Saber holiday ver. next to the 1/8 P.O.P. Brook. And for those how haven’t seen the new P.O.P. Kuma, you should check it out. He is the largest 1/8 figure I have ever seen. I won’t be purchasing him though cause the P.O.P. series has really let me down lately.
